If you’re headed into Miami, Florida, for the first time, you might appreciate an overall view of what you and your family may do.  In addition to a good deal of theatre and incredible Florribean foods, Miami also offers its tourists a great many destinations, from beaches to museums, everything from exploring the natural world to the world of science.

For beaches, you may want to take a look at South Beach, next to Miami’s nightclubs on Ocean Drive.  But there’s also Virginia Key Beach and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

Virginia Key Beach is right next to the Miami Seaquarium, a perfect place to check out later with the family.  You’ll be able to see killer whales and dolphins, among other sea creatures (sea turtles, seals, sea lions, even a Florida Manatee).   For additional wildlife sightings, you may want to check out the Miami MetroZoo as well as the Everglades, the latter which is a site for fourteen endangered species, such as the American Crocodile, the West Indian Manatee, and the Florida Panther.

If you’d rather spend your time indoors, there’s always an interesting exhibit at the Miami Museum of Science.  The place contains the Miami Planetarium and a Wildlife Center.  In the Wildlife Center, you’ll find the Falcon Batchelor Bird of Prey Center, which helps injured birds.  Check which day you’ve arrived in Miami: The center also has annual exhibits, such as Lizard Day and Snake Day!

After all of this running around, you may want to simply sit back and relax in one of the hotels Miami Florida is known for; after a busy day out at the beach or exploring the museums, some nights are best made for sitting back on your hotel suite bed and simply watching a movie.  After all, you’ve got to gather energy for the next day’s outing at such places as the Miami’s Children Museum, a place for children explore, as well as even more wildlife: Monkey Jungle and Parrot Jungle Island.
